Can a Precognitor Really Predict Your Future?

July 18, 2015 By Peter Menkin Leave a Comment

Type of ClairvoyanceA precognitor is a person with a particular type of clairvoyance who possesses the ability to look into the future and describe potential outcomes as defined by their current realities. While they are often mistaken for fortune tellers, precognitors share very little in common with those that gaze at crystal balls, consult tarot decks or look for signs in the tea leaves. In fact, they rarely pursue work as public psychics. The gift of a precognitor generally only allows for providing psychic readings that concern the possibilities surrounding a future event. This information usually comes through the practicing of psychic meditation, by experiencing waking visions or by gathering images that appear to them in dreams. What they are able to see is for the most part only a potential future outcome to a specific event concerning the person receiving the reading. And many who hold this gift are unable to produce readings at all due to the way they receive this information. Very few people with psychic power actually work as a precognitor and there are several great reasons for this.

For one, its not very popular with potential clients. Most who seek information through precognition tend to want very specific answers provided to questions about their future. Typical queries like “Will he ask me to marry him?” or “Will I get a new job?” are common fare. Those who possess this talent report that it simply doesn’t work like that and that they are almost never able to provide answers to specific questions about the future. In fact, they only see the possibility of the future. The very few who have this psychic ability and are able to focus their precognition into that type of work are still only able to tell you what might happen in your future at the time of the reading. There is the concept of free will, after all, and the future is constantly influenced or changed by each and every decision that we make. Any information gained through such a reading can and will change when factors that influence the future are bent by free will and random events. A precognitor can only read the future as it stands at the time of the reading and cannot predict factors that alter your destiny in the time following the reading to when the event will actually occur. For this reason, they don’t get a lot of repeat business.

Secondly, most precognitors can’t actually control their ability in a way that allows them to perform readings for the public or to become employed as a psychic. The bulk of those that have this ability receive their information either while they are sound asleep or when experiencing a waking vision. Most are unfamiliar with the subjects they see in their visions and can do very little to reach out and try to help someone who they’ve encountered through precognition. And as is the case with the working precognitor variety, all they are experiencing is the possibility of future events.

When I started thinking about writing this post about the precognitor, I was reminded of something that I had seen in a science fiction work based on a short story by Philip K. Dick and featuring Tom Cruise. The 2002 Spielberg film Minority Report which not only deals with the prediction of future events but does so with a group of characters that are at least somewhat reminiscent of modern precognitors. And while the example of psychic ability seen in Minority Report is more science fiction than actual science fact, there are many similarities between the group of completely fictitious precogs from the movie and those in real life who possess actual precognitive abilities.

In Minority Report, the main precog Agatha is played by Samantha Morton. She is joined in a specially constructed tank by two other precogs known as the twins. Together, they exist in a sort of chemically induced coma, feeding psychic imagery from their minds to a host of computer monitors and data banks for the Department of Justice’s PreCrime Unit. Future events are recorded from the visions provided by the precogs and are used by the Washington, DC police department to arrest and incarcerate those guilty of committing murder but before any real crime has actually occurred. In the movie, it is believed that the information gathered through this method is never wrong. But if you have seen the flick that is hardly the case. The character played by Cruise spends most of the movie running from the police force while attempting to show how the vision of his particular crime was falsely implanted into the system of precognition by another person covering up his own murderous acts.

What I find most interesting about the film is the belief that precognition is never wrong. That the visions provided by the precogs are not questioned and that they see through the series of random events to view a murder victim’s specific fate is out of step with how precognition really works. With those that see the future, precognition is often wrong. And in Minority Report the system of precogs is never questioned until the end. But with actual precognitors, future events told through psychic readings can and will almost always change from the reality that is seen. We influence our destiny.

So if you seek information about your future, you may want to take anything said by a precognitor with a grain of salt. Understand that your actions are constantly influencing your future events. Any psychic reading of said future is still very influenced by the world around you. Physical and spiritual forces are always in a state of flux. Any precognitor is only going to be able to see into your future if all possible factors remain completely unchanged in your life following the reading. For this reason, accomplishing a reading for an event in the very near future is probably the best way to use information from such a psychic. The closer you are to the event actually happening, the less that can occur to derail it.

I read once about the work of a precognitor that when a person is told that they are going to die tomorrow that they will do everything in their power to make sure that actually happens. Often those receiving such readings steer their own destiny in a way as to ensure the reading becomes viable. I believe that this is why this type of psychic is often seen as being so powerful. The suggestion of a particular future path is often enough for a person to influence their own actions even on a highly subconscious level. In fact, they may not even know that they are doing it. The end result is that the precognitor is seen as a sort of soothsayer when in reality they are merely suggesting a future possibility. Those that receive bad news for their future often go way out of their way to ensure that this possible blight on their lives doesn’t occur as well. In both cases, the precognitor comes out smelling like a rose when it is the subject of the reading that is in fact doing all the work.

So what do you guys think? I’ve never had the ability to tap into the ability of precognition myself as my talent simply doesn’t work that way. Have you ever experienced precognition, yourself? Have you ever visited a precognitor? Please share your experiences and thoughts by leaving a comment below and I’ll do my best to follow along and participate in that conversation. Regardless of what path you wish to take with your own destiny or if you choose to hire a precognitor or not, I hope that you get where you want to go in life and end up as the recipient of the future you truly deserve or desire.

Astrology Signs and Dates: Which One Are You?

August 10, 2015 By Peter Menkin Leave a Comment

Astrology signs and dates are pretty simple to understand although the idea of an astrological calendar has changed quite a bit since it was first created around 3000 BC. The zodiac also follows the solar year which is 365 and 1/4 days in length so the dates of astrological signs used to float against various calendars that were […]
